Please enjoy a Plymouth Explorer Special Ghia from 1954. Beautiful car and beautiful paint job.

This thing is seriously 90s.

And it works far better in a 50s design

But they did change the color. Is it okay to change the color of a one-off car?

I think so. Sometimes it's okay to take a little bit of stylistic liberty with a restoration. A little bit but not a lot.

I cannot decide my opinion about this case. Original colors are important but the newer one could be prettier.
This is one of my favorite cars and it was originally yellow but I do approve the newer color.

I think there is merit to be had in keeping a car original. It is important for sure if it is a survivor the color shouldn't be changed. If it is a restoration however I think then it is okay for a color change.

I saw it last year at a concept car exhibit. Have you seen the rear end? That exhaust treatment is just fantastic.
